About the Role
Analysts provide data processing, B.I Development and Analysis support to the Senior B.I Team and Business Team. They may help provide support to senior resources during scoping, consulting, development, training, QA and testing.
The Analysts will often lead facilitation and information gathering during projects and may from time to time provide services for customers that require large scale enhancements, new developments or configuration changes.
The Analyst is an important part of the testing team and is responsible for unit testing and quality checking of reports and calculations prior to release of new report or dashboard versions.
The Analysts work across Intrade eCommerce, Workforce Management, and Analytics platforms.
We work hard at Intrade and sufficiently determined and motivated people will grow very quickly within our structure. The growth paths for the Analyst is often into Advanced Data or B.I Development, Business Analysis or Analytics Team Lead.
Requirements
Required:
3-5+ years in data modelling, data development and B.I Development
NQF Level 4 or better Qualification (MCSE or Business Analysis)
Must have analytical aptitude for data / information analysis
Must be highly competent with structured and unstructured Data formats such as SQL, PostgreSQL, json etc.
Must have proven experience with a B.I platform such as Qlik Sense, Power B.I, Yellowfin, Tableau, Zoho Analytics
Must have experience in scoping, managing, developing and supporting Analytics Development
Advantageous:
Qualifications or Experience in statistical modelling or machine learning would be beneficial
Short courses in QlikSense, Power B.I or Yellowfin would be highly beneficial
